The Great Gujarati Writer Late Shri Harilal UpadhyayArticle about Shastriji (from Abhinandan Granth)

Shastri Shri Revashankarbhai Becharbhai Trivedi was a respected person from Paddhari. He was a well know astrology scholar and expert of ritual stuffs. An Abhinandan Granth was published to congratulate him and let the people know about his personality, when he have completed 65 years of Life. The granth contains views and articles about Shastriji from Dr. Radhakrishnan - former president of India and many more respected persons. Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay was also one of the contributors who was invited to have his words about Shastriji. Following is the article by Late Shri Harilal Upadhyay from the same book paying respect to Late Shashtriji.
Congratulations with gratitude to
V. S. S. Daivagna (Daivagya) Choodamani (Chudamani) Respected Shastriji Revashankar Becharbhai
Shri Harilal Upadhyay, Mumbai.
The Brahmin who is considered as Guru and respected by people, the founder of the most respected culture of Aryavart, the holder of the knowledge of Veds (Vedas) and achiever of the respect of being Guru based on his efforts. The Brahmin and his glorious BrahmaTej (light of ultimate knowledge) is all known. The ultimate truth is divided into three times (Past, Present and Future); but it also have to accept and respect the power of Bhagavan Mahakal (Lord Mahakal). The knowledge of Veds (Vedas) and Brahmanatva (being a Brahmin in true meaning) is not enlightened as it have to be now a days. Overall this situation leads to pessimistic thoughts, isn't it?
But in this current situation also, there are some pious souls who belongs to the SatyaYug (SatyaYuga - The time of truths's ultimate power - the best era to live within) are there who are follower of the knowledge, morals and ethics who sculups the figure of the brahmin fueled with the Ved (Vedas) by all the means. There are people still alive in our country - Bharat (India), whose personality flows the rays of lights which are the relief in the shadows of the pessimistic environment. V. S. S. pujya Shashtriji Revashankarbhai's personality is something similar.
The four mouths (or faces) of VedVachaspati (the source of oral knowledge of Veds - Vedas) and father of all - Brhmaji are the source and proof of the knowledge from all around. Brahma is the one who knows everything. The achiever of the toughest knowledge, the person who learns from everywhere and the one with the intelligence is praised by everyone, everywhere. The unity of knowing everything and being a Brahmin in true aspects; is similar to the union of the soul and the divine power. This way when we pronounce the word Brahmin, we are singing a hymn. The effects of the real brahminness are found in the deeds and life of Respected Shastriji Revashankarbhai, and we can visualize the same clearly.
Respected Shastriji secures the place in the front row when talking the possessor of the knowledge of Samved (Samveda or Samaveda), the science of astrology, Purans (Puranas) and the parts of vedas used in the ritual ceremonies. In addition to this respectful truth, he is a possessor of other skills also. Being with him creates a sweet environment around us which shows his personality. Usually the exceptional personalities are not so humble. This quality is implanted due to the morals and ethics a person grown with from the birth and previous lives. This way respected Shastriji is a possessor of uncommon qualities and it is his greatness.
The land of Saurashtra had given great personalities and skillful Ved (Veda) scholars to Bharat (India) and the world. This glorious small land which gave the security and sign of relief to Lord Shri Krushna (Lord Shri Krishna) himself against the terror of enimies, have produced a number of human gems to the world and enhanced its own pride. In this last century the scholars like Late Keshavaji Shastri, Late Ghelu Bhattji, Late Lakshmishankarji Travadi, Late Shankarji Shastri, Late Kalidasji Shukla, Late Tryambakram Shastri and others have spreaded the lights of the ultimate knowledge and qualities of a real Brahmin.
The mentioned ones and many others have implatened their knowledge in the proper students and got the same expanded also. The immortality of such names and most respectfully the knowledge of the pious skills, also found in the cleverness of respected Shastriji Revashankarbhai.
Shastriji have enhanced the musical flows of the ultimate and complete knowledge of Samved (Samveda or Samaveda), which he learnt from Late Laxmishankarji Travadi who is considered as the Brahmaji of Samved and VedVidhyavidadibhushan (the scholar) of Jamnagar - known as "Chhoti Kashi" of Saurashtra. The work he did in order to preserve this knowledge and spreading the same is the great and praisable work of his life. It had given the immortality to the place of the Guru like Late Travadiji.
When the song is associated with the divine classical music, it becomes glorious. The singers of today are looking for a way to get popularity around the world with the help of classical Bharatiya (Indian) music. The contribution of the classical music in making the modern India world famous is really remarkable. The seed of our classical music is Samved (Samveda or Samaveda). The joy which is coming as the result of hearing the classical music is the outcome of the great weaving of the elements of sound within. Explaining the qualities and sweetness of the SamGaan (singing the hymns of SamVed – SamaVeda) - the seed of the classical music; is definitely out of explanation capacity.
I am really feeling great to praise respected Shastriji who is the scholar and singer of SamVed (SamVeda / SamaVeda). I am considering it as a great achievement of the small village named Paddhari which is situated in Saurashtra, that such a great Samved scholar is living here. The even satisfactory stuff is he have implanted these qualities in other Brahmins also and keep the Guru-Shishya tradition alive, and turned them into quality scholars of Samved (Samveda / SamaVeda).
Even the great astrologists of the westeren countries -which possess remarkable place in the scientific knowledge and inventions - also getting fond of Indian astrology now a days. The truth spoken by Lord Brahma and his sons is presentable as is today also, and its the matter to be proud of. It is the glorious achievement of BrahmaVidhya. The truth that the Indian scholars of astrology kept the achievements preserved by doing hard work in the smae field is a reality to praise for. DaivagnaChudamani respected Revashankar Shastriji is one of the scholars of this kind. The additional knowledge of Shastra (Hindu traditional encyclopedias) along with the great knowledge of SamVed (SamVeda / SamaVeda) and other qualities makes his personality even great.
In addition, respected Shastriji is a possessor of knowledge of Puranas and traditional ritual ceremonies. He is always hungry for knowledge and curious personality which is a nice quality. This way his knowledge for Hindu ritual encyclopedias and life is exceptionally great.
Though the gem of all these qualities found within him, is his way of talking, he is a great orator. He can explain the stuff in as is manner in a way that everyone can understand the same. Good orator ship is an art within. All the arts require a base of values. Brahmins are considered guide to the society but giving proper guidance is a tough thing though. An orater have to understand the psychology of the mass, only then he can live an impact on the mass. Those who have heard respected Shastriji once, might not forget the stuff delivered by him throughout the life. Actually the speech is one of the great powers. It is the way to communicate the stuff and hence hearing great speeches is considered as an unforgettable events. Respected Shrstriji who is almost retired now a days, still being considered as the respected personality due to his great knowledge and down to earth attitude. It is his achievement as an orator.
This way when we say respected Shastriji is scholar, great as a human being, we can also say that there are many more gems in the form of human beings are there on this mother earth; but the genuineness, realistic and peaceful personality, self respect, unfearfulness and the best of all is the transparent character; all these qualities are found at large extent, rarely in others.
In his nature, beneath the unbreakable layer of hard feelings, the charming sweetness is flowing. Generally all man with special personality are having the strong nature, which keeps others away from them. Might this be the specialty of them. But when around with respected Shastriji, a real curious person can get the special happiness, which is uncommon. It shows the openness of his heart. The way he balances when talking and behaving is followable. He hates to twist the things when telling. The straight forwardness can be considered as the inseparable part of his personality.
His main aim is to spread the knowledge of Veds (Vedas) and the enlightenment to the real Bhahminism and its really blissful. Inspired by these wishes he gave the great knowledge he have to so many proper students. The SamVed (SamVeda / SamaVeda) scholars we will have in the future, along with the astrologist and ritual ceremony experts; it will contain his students as well.
The personality of respected Shastriji Revashankarbhai which is showing glimpses of Brahminism at some extent is source of inspiration in many ways. His scholar personality is praisable. Showing all the aspects of his personality requires a very big canvas, hence I have represented it in short here, and I am glad to get this chance. I am sending my regards to this saint, scholar, person with morals, and full of brahminism personality.
Respected Shastriji is getting 65, and we are respecting him and his knowledge by congratulating him. As I mentioned earlier, all the fellows who belive in our culture have to do the hard efforts to get it out of the dark and keep it stronger as it was. The glorious past of Aryavart (Bharat - Hindustan - India) and Brahminism is expecting the lot from the modern generation and brahminism. These words of gratitude for respected Shastriji are not praying a moral person but to respect the knowledge. Let us pray the ultimate power - the God that let Shastriji get blessed with the boon to live 100 years, may the glory of his knowledge keep expanding, may his personality get even versatile and he will keep teaching, guiding through and flowing the flood of knowledge. Thank you.
